You don’t need expensive toxic cleaning products to get your home clean.

While on my investigation to become healthier, I discovered years ago that the chemicals in all commercial cleaning products are toxic and can cause symptoms that most people don’t correlate to their cleaning products.  Even the so-called natural or healthy cleaning products are toxic and can aspirate allergy symptoms in sensitive people.

I found that you can use literally 5 ingredients for just about anything around the house, and even for you cleaning needs.

Most of our grandmothers knew these tricks. And here’s a secret about the smell of clean. It smell’s like nothing.

just using 5 ingredients found in your kitchen can supply a deep and health cleaning.

  • Vinegar: use vinegar for disinfecting and sterilizing surfaces.

  • Baking Soda: this is the best for tougher jobs like scrubbing and polishing.

  • Castile Soap: A basic soap that can be used for literally everything!!!

  • Hydrogen Peroxide :  there are 2 types of provide, 3 % and food grade (35%). this can be used as a disinfectant and bleach.

  • Lemons: a disinfectant and can be used to add a fresh scent to cleaning. You can also soak lemons in a mason jar with vinegar for 2 weeks to combine these two for an all-purpose spray.

Using these items in different combination will give you the perfect clean for all around the house and it will cost you next to nothing.

  • For sinks and tubs : sprinkle baking soda around the surface and drizzle castile soap over the baking soda.  Dampen a sponge with a scrubbing side and work the baking soda and castile soap with water.  Once you’ve gone over the entire surface rinse with hot water and look at the shine!

  • For Toilets: Use vinegar or food grade hydrogen peroxide.  Pour 1 cup of either in the bowl and let sit for at least 10-15 mins.  Use a toilet brush to work the water around the upper area of the bowl.  flush or continue to let sit until next use flush.

  • For counters: Use vinegar or lemon soaked vinegar to spray and wipe with a dry or damp cloth. for stone countertops use this recipe: 3 tbls. rubbing alcohol, 2 c. water, and 1/4 tsp. Castile soap. combine in a clean spray bottle and shake until mixed well.

  • For Floors: Hot water and castile soap on all floors. (I use peppermint scent)

  • For oven and stove tops: baking soda and castile soap to scrub the debris then follow-up with vinegar and a dry cloth final wipe.

  • For Windows and mirrors: Vinegar and rubbing alcohol.  3 tbls. rubbing alcohol, 1 1/2 c. of water, and 1/2 cup white vinegar. Wipe with a dry cloth or newspaper.

  • For Rugs and Carpets: Sprinkle baking soda mixed with any essential oil of your choice (optional).  Mix a few drops in a bowl with baking soda and mix until well incorporated.  Sprinkle over carpet or surface area and let sit for 15 mins.  then vacuum carpet or shake out rug.

  • For wood surfaces: I have used castile soap of dusting and wiping wood surfaces for years and everyone always asks what I use on my wood surfaces because they are so rich and polished.  Castile soap is the best in a bucket with hot water for dusting.
